About the Speaker

Mr. Philip Smart is an Associate Professor at HKU, where he has taught since 1985. His areas of research interest are Corporate, Insolvency and International Law. His recent books include Cross-Border Insolvency (Butterworths, London, 2 nd ed, 1998, 421 pp), Hong Kong Corporate Insolvency Manual (Hong Kong, 2002) (with Stephen Briscoe and Charles D Booth), Hong Kong Personal Insolvency Manual (Hong Kong, 2002) (with Stephen Briscoe and Charles D Booth) and Hong Kong Company Law: Cases, Comments and Materials (Butterworths, Singapore, 1997, (joint editor)).

 

Registration

The admission fee for attending the lunch seminar is HKD130 per person for IIG members and HKD200 per person for non-IIG members. The number of places is limited and priority will be given to IIG members on a first-come-first-served basis in case of over-subscription. For members who wish to attend the lunch seminar, please complete the attached reply slip and return it by fax for registration on or before Monday, 14 June 2004 and then follow by mail to the Standards & Technical Department of the Society, together with a cheque payable to "Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants".
