About the Speaker

Mr. Richard Williams became HKEx's Head of Listing and secretary to the Main Board and Growth Enterprise Market listing committees in June 2003, following the restructuring of Listing, Regulation and Risk Management (LRRM). He joined HKEx as Senior Vice President in October 2002 and headed LRRM's Listing Division before taking up his current post.

A chartered accountant with extensive capital markets experience, Mr Williams was Head of Listing Policy and Compliance at the Financial Services Authority (FSA) in the UK between 2000 and 2002. He has also served as Head of Listing Policy at the London Stock Exchange (LSE). His most recent UK role involved participation in the policy development work of the Committee of European Securities Regulators under the European Financial Services Action Plan. Before moving to the LSE, Mr Williams was with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

 

Registration

The admission fee for attending the lunch seminar is HKD130 per person for IIG members and HKD200 per person for non-IIG members. The number of places is limited and priority will be given to IIG members on a first-come-first-served basis in case of over-subscription. For members who wish to attend the lunch seminar, please complete the attached reply slip and return it by fax for registration on or before Monday, 17 May 2004 and then follow by mail to the Standards & Technical Department of the Society, together with a cheque payable to "Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants". For enrolment by fax, remittance must follow within 5 days of fax booking or else booking will be cancelled.
