About the Seminar
An introduction to the Equitable Life Scheme of Arrangement in England, probably the most high profile insurance scheme in recent years, including how the need for the scheme arose, its formulation, development and implementation, and some of the issues that were encountered.
About the Speaker
Mr. Robin Spencer is one of the leading experts on insurance insolvencies, including recent UK and European market and legal developments. Mr. Spencer has worked on Equitable Life, probably the most high profile case of its type in the UK in the last 2 years and a trendsetter for life insurers.
Registration
The admission fee for attending the lunch seminar is HKD480
per person for IIG member and HKD550 per person for non-IIG
member. The number of places is limited and priority will be given to IIG
members on a first-come-first-served basis in case of over-subscription.
For members who wish to attend the lunch seminar, please complete the attached
reply slip and return it by fax for
registration on or before Monday, 6 October 2003 and then follow by mail
to the Professional & Technical Department of the Society, together with
a cheque payable to "Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants". For enrolment
by fax, remittance must follow within 5 days of fax booking or else booking
will be cancelled.
