SMALL AND MEDIUM PRACTITIONERS DISCUSSION GROUPS

The Small and Medium Practitioners Committee ("SMPC") would like to invite practising members and members working in member practices to join its discussion groups which serve as a channel of communication among the HKICPA Council and SMPs.



Terms of Reference

(1) SMPC Discussion Groups ("DGs") operate under the auspices of the SMPC.
(2) Discussion topics are to be initiated by the SMPC/DGs members. Papers will be provided for discussion by group members where necessary.
(3) DGs members are divided into small groups led by a convenor who is a SMPC member.
(4) The DGs convenors are responsible for collecting and consolidating the views of their group members, and reporting the same to the SMPC for consideration.
(5) The SMPC will refer comments/suggestions of the DGs to Council or other relevant committees of the HKICPA for consideration/further actions, if deemed appropriate. Feedback thereon and/or subsequent action taken will be reported back to the DGs by the convenors.
(6) DGs members are expected to participate actively and express their views in the open forums organised by the SMPC. If they are not able to attend the forum, they are encouraged to forward their views to their group convenor.


Membership Requirements

HKICPA members holding a practising certificate; or
   
HKICPA members working in member practices (irrespective of whether or not they hold a practising certificate and there is no restriction on the number of members from each member practice).


Activities


Informal DGs meetings and open forums will be organised from time to time to generate discussion and feedback from small and medium practitioners on matters of professional interest and concerns.

If you are interested in joining the DGs, please complete the application form printed overleaf and return it to the Member & Corporate Services Department. No enrolment fee is required.
