HKICPA Business Case Competition 2018 and Luncheon with CPAs

The HKICPA Business Case Competition 2018 was an immense success, with over 630 teams from various universities from across the Greater China region joining the competition this year.

We invited almost 100 reviewers from practice, commercial and universities to conduct two rounds of blind review of the participants' written reports before shortlisting the 12 finalists to compete in the finale - the oral presentation day held on 25 November 2018 at the Harbour Grand Hong Kong Hotel.

Press interview: Preparation pays off

The winners of the HKICPA Business Case Competition 2018 were interviewed by Classified Post and the Hong Kong Economic Times.

They shared their experiences of acting as business consultants, providing innovative solutions in keeping with the outlook and principles of "Accounting Plus" when tackling the case question about the fitness industry. The adjudicators also commented on the winning teams' overall performance.

New President and Council were elected

The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants elected Law Fu Yuen, Patrick as President, and Kong Chi How, Johnson and Lam Chi Yuen, Nelson as Vice-Presidents for 2019 after its 46th annual general meeting.
