Renewal of agreement with CIMA for mutual examination paper exemptions


The agreement for mutual examination paper exemptions between the Institute and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) has been renewed for five years. Click here for the requirements for the Institute's members to apply for CIMA membership and vice-versa.


Practical discussion on tax incentives/local support in the GBA free trade zones

At the seminar on 2 Aug, the speakers will provide brief background information about the three free trade zones of the Greater Bay Area (GBA), and discuss the related tax incentives and local support and innovative policy measures. They will also discuss the recent changes to the individual income tax regime, as well as the practical considerations for mobile employees working in the GBA.

The new Mainland China foreign investment law and tax issues relevant to MNCs (rerun)
The rerun seminar on 12 Aug will discuss the major changes introduced by the new law, the impact on foreign-invested enterprises and actions that need to be taken. It will also cover the tax matters to consider for Mainland China market entry and the future opportunities and challenges for multinational companies.

IT security and cloud security for SMP/SME
The seminar on 19 Aug will introduce the threats relating to cloud computing and accepted security control designs, and how they are appropriate for small and medium practices/small and medium enterprises (SMP/SME).

Anti-corruption information disclosure in ESG reports (rerun)
Enrol in the free seminar on 20 Aug to gain knowledge on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong's environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting requirements in relation to disclosure of anti-corruption information and the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) review of listed companies' anti-corruption information disclosure. The speaker will also share their recommendation of core elements and good practices in anti-corruption information disclosure based on the findings of the ICAC review, international standards/practices and the corruption prevention advisory service of ICAC.

Join the free seminar organized by the Center for Economic Sustainability & Entrepreneurial Finance of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in collaboration with the Hong Kong Investor Relations Association on 30 July to gain insights on green finance and environmental, social and governance (ESG) integration. Hong Kong Investment Funds Association 13th Annual Conference
The Hong Kong Investment Funds Association 13th Annual Conference themed "Sustainability and the Greater Bay Area" will take place on 1 Nov. The conference will focus on the roles and contributions of the fund management industry to the initiative. Interested members can enrol at a special rate of HK$3,900.
IFRS Taxonomy formula linkbase

The IFRS Taxonomy formula linkbase 2019 is now available as an accompaniment to the IFRS Taxonomy 2019. The linkbase works with software tools which support the XBRL formula specification 1.0, and can help with validating the reliability of values reported using the IFRS Taxonomy and the XBRL technical format.
