Council election results and
AGM today

 

Seven members have been elected to Council. The official results and the number of votes received by each candidate will be announced at the annual general meeting today, 5:30 p.m. at 27/F, Wu Chung House. All members are invited. The new president and vice-presidents will be elected at a special meeting afterwards. Click here for the AGM notice and annual report.


Becoming an insolvency specialist

The Specialist Designation in Insolvency is open to members with considerable experience and competencies in insolvency practice, and who have gained the SQ (Insolvency). Holders of the Specialist Designation in Insolvency are entitled to use "SD (Insolvency)" after their names. The current round of applications closes on 31 Jan.

Corporate Finance Series

The seminar on 15 Jan will focus on the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s Base Erosion and Profit Shifting 2.0 proposals, covering its background, ideas on the revised nexus and profit allocation rules, minimum tax proposals, and potential impacts on Hong Kong's offshore regime.

 
Cross-border competition

Two teams represented the Institute at the annual cross-border competition on 8 Dec in Shenzhen. Our teams won the badminton competition and finished third in football. Click to see photos.

Illustrative examples on IPO sponsor fee income

The Institute has published Illustrative examples on IPO sponsor fee income to illustrate application of the principles in HKFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers. These examples should be read in conjunction with the previously-issued Questions & Answers on recognition of IPO sponsor fee income under HKFRS 15.
