The Institute's Best Corporate Governance Awards 2019 are open for entry. Now in its 20th year, the awards promote a culture of good corporate governance and sustainable business practices, helping to enhance investor and public confidence in the Hong Kong capital market.

Strategic finance course

The strategic finance module of the Financial Controllership Programme (FCP) will take place in August. The module will enhance the technical skills and practical knowledge required by a financial controller. The sessions led by experienced corporate and investment bankers, treasurers and CFOs, will focus on developing readily applicable skills through case studies and discussions. Participants will develop end-to-end problem solving solutions through building a framework, evaluating alternatives and considering implementation issues. Considerations on supply chain transformation and reconfiguring manufacturing footprint
Join the seminar on 18 July for discussion and case sharing on key strategic considerations for restructuring global supply chains in light of the uncertain outcome of the Sino-U.S. trade discussions, as well as the international trade and customs considerations for relocation of production lines from Mainland China to countries in South East Asia.

How cybersecurity becomes the culture of a sustainable company
Enrol in the workshop on 6 Aug to learn about the usefulness of full-scale cybersecurity management plans for enterprises, how to apply and maintain one, and how they helps companies to mitigate cybersecurity risks.

FSIG lunch seminar – Handling regulatory investigations
The Financial Services Interest Group (FSIG) lunch seminar on 8 Aug will provide an overview of the investigative powers of financial regulators, accounting regulators and law enforcement agencies. The speaker will also analyse practical issues that may be faced by accounting firms and individual accountants when handling investigations by such agents.
