  Cancellation of CPD courses and events until 15 June  

Upcoming CPD courses and events listed here will be cancelled in view of the acute traffic conditions in the vicinity of Admiralty and Central. The Institute considers the safety of its members and staff as its top priority. It will continue to closely monitor the situation to determine whether it is necessary to cancel events scheduled for next week. Arrangements for future events and refunds will be advised in due course.


The implications of GDPR on local companies

The workshop on 9 July will introduce the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and its underlying principles. It will also discuss how the new rules around GDPR apply to an organization and the differences among Hong Kong's privacy ordinance, the Mainland cybersecurity law and the GDPR.

Engaging team members to achieve project results
Join the workshop on 24 June to learn about the four-phase fundamental process of project management and the skills for achieving better project results.

Smart applications of big data
At the seminar on 28 June, the speaker will present how blockchain is reshaping market norms, the latest development of virtual banking, and the new cashless society. Attendees will understand more about the latest technological developments in the financial industry and learn how to plan for own fintech roadmap.

HKEX new ESG reporting requirements
Enrol in the seminar on 12 July to gain insights on the HKEX's proposed new Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting requirements. The speaker will share explanations and insights for each potential new requirement illustrated with case studies, and methodology to fulfill them.

Goal setting – Demonstrate competence with measurable goals
Attend the workshop on 15 July to learn how to achieve an organization's objectives by empowering managers and their teams with proper work conditions, and set measurable goals to demonstrate one’s outstanding performance and appraise subordinates’ performance.

HKIB Annual Banking Conference 2019
The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers' Annual Banking Conference themed “The New Future of Banking and Bankers – Greater Bay Area and Digitalization” will take place on 26 Sept. The conference will offer a wealth of information and connections about the most important digital innovations and technologies, as well as policies adjustments in the banking industry through presentations and interactive panel discussions.
