Compliance annual report


The Institute has published the 2018 Compliance Annual Report, which outlines the Compliance Department's key activities for 2018. The report also features the process review of the department's operations carried out by the Regulatory Oversight Board.

Growth mindset: Empowering yourself for all-round improvements

The workshop on 2 April will present the "growth mindset" concept and how having one helps achieve better effectiveness at work and in life. Participants will learn how to identify development and renewal goals and how to apply growth mindset strategies for all-round self-improvement.

Coaching for managers – Engaging with individuals for improved performance
Join the workshop on 10 April to learn about the different types of coaching skills that help develop leadership capabilities and increase team engagement level to enhance performance and productivity.

CGMA Program – Special offer to QP-qualified Institute members
Enrol in the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants' CGMA Program in May at a specially-arranged discounted rate if you have qualified through the Institute's Qualification Programme (QP). The program will provide training for the strategic case study exam and serve as a path for the CGMA designation. Join the information session on 22 March to learn more or register the program here.

Taxation Faculty e-seminars
A number of e-seminars adapted from popular events recently held by the Taxation Faculty courses are now available. There are also one-minute previews of the courses available for free for interested members to try out. Enrol now to take continuing professional development courses anytime and anywhere.

Post-marathon drink

All CPA runners are invited to join the post-marathon drinks on 29 April to share their excitement and experience at the Standard Chartered Marathon. We will also present CPA marathon trophies (for members) and SRC marathon trophies (for QP graduates and students) to outstanding runners. Don't forget to submit your official race time by 30 March.

The March 2019 IFRIC Update includes a summary of the decisions reached by the IFRS Interpretations Committee in its public meetings.

AML notice - United Nations sanctions

The updated list of individuals and entities was published on 14 March pursuant to the Gazettal of Terrorists and Terrorist Associates under United Nations (Anti-terrorism Measures) Ordinance (Cap. 575). There is also an amendment to one entry on the list of designations associated with ISIL (Da’esh) and Al-Qaida. RSCP golf tournament results
