  2018 PAIB Conference – "The day after tomorrow: A reality check for accountants today"  

The 2018 PAIB Conference will take place on 8 Sep, where the Guest of Honour, Laurence Lu-jen Li, Chairman of the Financial Services Development Council, together with other renowned speakers, will share their insights on key challenges that professional accountants in business are facing and the opportunities ahead. Areas to be explored include professional ethics in business, future of the finance function, as well as development of the capital market. Confirmed speakers include representatives from Alipay Payment Services (HK) Limited, DBS Asia Capital Limited, Deloitte China, Ernst & Young, Grant Sherman Appraisal Limited, and the Independent Commission Against Corruption.

 

BCGA series: ESG requirements and improvement of ESG reporting
Come to the seminar on 28 Aug and hear from Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing's Ellie Pang, a member of the Institute's Sustainability and Integrated Reporting Advisory Panel, to learn more about current ESG requirements, findings of a recent HKEX report into ESG disclosures, and how companies can improve ESG disclosures and reporting.

Insights of financial gimmick workshop: share placement & consideration issue
The workshop on 22 Aug will focus on share placement and considerations, highlighting the key attributes for various share placement proposals and their related implications. The speaker will discuss a case study on M&A transaction involving a share consideration issue and explain to attendees the true rationale behind these corporate actions.

The nuts and bolts of banks' credit facility letter
Sign up for the workshop on 12 Sep to learn more about the structure of credit facility letters, the importance of financial covenants and negative covenants, as well as the terms and conditions of facilities using case studies.
