Extraordinary General Meeting proxy form arrangement


You are encouraged to attend the upcoming EGM on 2 Mar. Information on the EGM was mailed to members on 9 Feb and a reminder letter was issued today. The appointment of a proxy must be signed and the physical form delivered to the Institute's office during office hours not less than 48 hours before the time appointed for the holding of the EGM (before 7:00 p.m. on 28 Feb). Members are advised to submit the completed proxy form as early as possible. Members should regularly check the "EGM 2018" section of the Institute website for new developments.

Budget commentary forum
The 2018-19 government budget will be announced on 28 Feb. The Institute will hold a budget commentary forum that evening with Hon. Regina Ip, Legislative Councillor (Geographical Constituency), Hon. Kenneth Leung, Legislative Councillor (Accountancy Functional Constituency), and Mr. KK So, Chair of the Institute's Taxation Faculty Executive Committee. They will talk about impacts of the budget on the community and economy.

Enrolment for Professional Diploma in Insolvency
The second module of the Institute's Professional Diploma in Insolvency programme will begin in March with a focus on corporate rescue and restructuring, and cross-border insolvency. Enrol by 23 Feb or click here for more details about insolvency programmes offered by the Institute.

Annual meeting with the State Administration of Taxation
Suggest agenda items for the Institute's next annual meeting with the State Administration of Taxation scheduled for May 2018. Please complete the suggestion form with a brief and clear explanation of the issue, preferably in simplified Chinese and send the completed form to by 28 Feb.

Enrol in the seminar on 7 Mar covering legal issues in liquidation and the principles of "Beneficiaries".
The upcoming seminar on 19 Mar on blockchain technology and its benefits and applications in business.
Don't forget to enrol in the seminar on 26 Mar on the enactment of a statutory Business Judgment Rule for Hong Kong.
