Members are reminded of the upcoming Annual General Meeting on 14 Dec and that nominations are sought for Council election, Council co-option and various Committee appointments. Please submit nominations for the Council election by
6 p.m. on 20 Nov and co-option and Committee appointments by 24 Nov.


IFAC Initiates CEO Search
The International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) is seeking an outstanding individual to succeed the current Chief Executive Officer, Fayezul Choudhury, in late 2018. Click here to learn more about the position and the IFAC.

The IT seminar on 4 Dec will cover the latest cybersecurity threats, the cost of breaches, recent ransomware incidents, cybersecurity laws, data privacy issues and control strategies designed to reduce risks.

Reminders
Enrol in the soft skills workshop on 25 Nov which will introduce a set of relationship guidelines for daily interactions with colleagues, with the aim of building mutual trust in the workplace.

The workshop on 30 Nov will focus on the applications of Sun Tzu's wisdom in the Art of War to formulate strategies for coping with the current challenges in business so that one can turn threats into opportunities.


Beijing- Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Symposium
The 21st Beijing-Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Symposium will be held on 28-29 Nov in Hong Kong. The event includes various seminars focused on cooperation between Beijing and Hong Kong in different industries. Members can attend the event free of charge by registering here.
