Corporate treasury centre policy and global business

Among the Global Fortune 500 List 2018, the largest companies in the world, 120 are Chinese corporations and China ranked number two after the United States. Companies increasingly need to set up a Corporate Treasury Centre in Hong Kong to support their treasury activities and centralize their international treasury management functions. HKICPA Career Forum 2018

On 7 October 2018, the Institute organized its 11th Career Forum at Hong Kong Science Park. Over 600 participants attended the forum activities including Accounting Plus focus groups, career-oriented workshops, employer exhibition and luncheon with CPAs.

The forum was an interactive half-day event which gave participants a real taste of Accounting Plus and offered them the chance to learn how the accountancy profession is "The Critical Piece" of our society. Please click here to view the forum highlights.

Annual career survey

The Institute is conducting the annual Career Survey to seek your help in identifying opportunities where the Institute can better serve students' needs. Participants who complete the survey will be able to register for the lucky draw to win one of 21 fabulous prizes, including a GoPro HERO6 video camera, Apple iWatch, Ricoh THETA SC Action Camcorder, JBL Pulse 3 Wireless Speaker. The survey closes at 11:59 p.m. on 6 January 2019.

Position paper on changes to practical experience framework

The Institute issued the Position Paper on Changes to Practical Experience Framework on
28 November 2018, which sets out the changes to the Practical Experience Framework under the new QP. The revised framework enhances the flexibility of the practical experience requirements, strengthens the quality assurance of the Authorized Employer and Authorized Supervisor system, and promotes communication through an online system. Submit CPA membership applications by 7 January 2019 .
We welcome 17 new authorized employers and 40 new authorized supervisors to the Institute's practical experience scheme.
